Zephyr Circa 1937 Trade Stimulator & Gumball Vendor
This Zephyr model, trade stimulator & gumball vendor, was manufactured by Groetchen Tool & Mfg. Of Chicago, Illinois around 1937. The main body and all of the internal mechanisms are original and working. The main body is made from a cast aluminum type alloy and it measures approximately 10" wide x 8.5" deep x 10.5 high and has it's original paint that shows some chips and scratches but is good considering it's age.
The back cover, the front awards card and the "Zephyr" label are reproductions and it has a new lock assembly, also I believe the mirror strip on the front may have been replaced at an earlier time. This machine will accept pennies, nickels & dimes so customers could increase their "award" value, should they hit the right combinations on the wheels, since it would be based on the coin denomination they played (that was the purpose of the coin view window on the side) and then store clerk would confirm how much the patron played and award them accordingly. This is a working machine that is being offered as an amusement only device, so enjoy. The item "Zephyr Circa 1937 Trade Stimulator & Gumball Vendor" is in sale since Sunday, August 4, 2019.
