Vintage Hand-Carved Bandit Character Slot Machine, 1947 $50 Special Award 777

This novelty 25-cent slot machine features a hand-carved stand assembled sometime in the 1980s, done in the style of Frank Polk. It is solid wood and depicts a bandit with a red bandanna over the bottom half of his face, dark pants tucked into black cowboy boots, and a black coat.

He has a leather gun belt with toy gun in-holster slung low and a leather cowboy hat pulled over over his forehead. The handle for the slot machine has been replaced by his left arm, holding a Colt. 45 upraised and his other hand is cupped and outstretched.

He is held upright on a round metal stand with a solid bar connecting and supporting him to the stand. The slot machine comes with keys and is completely functional.

The Special Award 7-7-7 was an extremely popular machine both when it was first produced and currently. It features a royal blue cast iron case with gauge metal back and the one original key. It measures 27" high, 16" wide, and 15 deep. It weighs approximately 35 lbs. The entire piece stands 72" (68" w/o hat).
