This beautiful antique slot machine was made by OD Jennings and company in the 1930s. The scarce and desirable "Peacock" model, this one is even better because it has the escalator and not the gooseneck coin acceptor. It looks to be in original condition, but is actually an older restoration completed around 30 years ago, apparently from a machine that was very nice to begin with.
The front castings are polished aluminum that show great patina, with hand painted enamel details. The wood cabinet is restored original, and is made of beautiful quarter-sawn solid oak panels. The mechanism has been serviced and lubricated, and works well, including the adjustable jackpot loading feature, and escalator. A few of the parts on the mechanism have been restored, but most of it has it's original finish. The reel strips are replacements. Both upper and lower back doors are original, as well as both Yale locks. The nickel plated handle and hub were re-plated with the 1980s restoration and have acquired a magnificent patina. This machine looks and plays great.
So don't miss this chance to own this exceptional specimen, which will make either a terrific addition to a collection, or an excellent start to one.
