Old Antique COLUMBIA 5 Cent Cigarette Advertising 3 Reel SLOT MACHINE

Presented for your consideration is this neat Columbia slot machine made by the Groetchen Tool Company. It features a wood and metal case with 4 red stripes down the front and 2 down the front of the coin slot. "Columbia" is marked on the front of the machine inside of a red, white and blue circle. Stars are on each side of Columbia. The front of the machine has 3 reels inside of a viewing window.

Underneath the reels is a chart showing the prizes to be given depending on the order that the reels top in. To the left of the chart is a open, most likely to view the jackpot and below is a dispensing slot. The reels have pictures of different cigarettes including Camel, Lucky Strike and Kool. The sides of the case are wooden and the metal door on the back pops off to access the internal mechanisms.

Mechanisms look to be in good condition and complete. The mechanism is marked with the model number, No. A-200 and the serial number 1757. This is also marked on the plaque on the side of the machine.

A partial decal for Churchill is on the inside of the base. The inside of the door has the original label for operating and maintaining the machine. This neat slot machine would make a great addition to any vending or advertising collection! The machine will work for a couple of pulls then stops working, needs some minor repairs to get it working properly. There is a large chunk of wood missing from the base on the front left side and the lock on the back is missing.

Maintenance label has some tearing and separation from the door. Typical light to mild wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details. Measures 14" wide, 11" deep and 18 tall.
