Mills Novelty Co. 5 Cent Slot Machine, Original Condition, ex-Museum

A beautiful example of a rarer and more attractive machine. Cast Iron front with mesh design. This item was formerly part of the collection of the Green Elephant Antique Gambling and Saloon Museum in Somerset Center, MI. Measures 27" tall, 16" wide and 15.5 deep. The exterior is in beautiful original overall condition, not perfect. The back seems to newer but lock is original, with original key.

Front key missing but can be locked/unlocked fairly easily with a paperclip or pick. The mechanism does not appear to have ever had a full restoration, but does have some newer screws and has clearly been maintained. The machine does work (video available), but being unrestored it does require regular adjustments to keep all components working well. I've put 100+ coins through it.

The escalator works but finicky, the arm's connection to the escalator seems less firm than it should be and there has been a small piece of wood under the mechanism to help it reach. Jackpot seems to work very well.

Wheels don't spin consistently, sometimes a couple spins, sometimes lots. Otherwise seems to work great. The item "Mills Novelty Co.
