Mills 5-cent FUTURITY antique slot machine , 1934. The FUTURITY is clearly the rarest of the Mills three-reelers.

Few exist today because of the well known and documented reluctance of slot operators throughout the country to use what was both the first and last Mills Novelty slot machine that was - by design - gaffed. That was how Mills designed it from the the ground up. In fact, in order to placate infuriated operators, Mills even began sending them a free set of Castle Front castings along with a correct set of reel strips and other associated items for converting the machine.

This super rare Mills Futurity came from the estate of the local Mills Novelty distributor, BELL DISTRIBUTING COMPANY, here in New Orleans. It is in mint condition and has hardly any use. Original, perfectly mint condition Futurity dial face plate (this is the only Futurity currently for sale ANYWHERE that can boast this fact). Original MATCHING NUMBER Mills lock & key.
