Here is an Original Nickel Jennings Slot Machine W/ Original Side Vendor and rare intact and working Future Pay Feature. I bought this machine from an 87 year old man that has owned it since the 1950s. It works as it should. Has beautiful patina and retains the original reel strips, original jennings decals on both side of the original finish cabinet.
The front and side vendor locks seem original. Castings has serial number 53453 stamped on the front. The future pay feature uses a window in the front casting to show how many nickels you will win on the next pull (see picture with close up of pay indicator). It is very rare for these pay indicators and corresponding coin trap door to still be in the machine and working. This is a really cool feature that was used to skirt the gambling laws of the time. The junior mints advertising is obviously not original. There should be rolls of mints displayed here. Interestingly, behind the junior mints ad is newspaper from the 1930s which includes an article about violence erupting in Germany (before World War 2).I took pictures of the newspaper and carefully folded it back into place for someone else to re-discover in the future. This machine is truely a time capsule of originality. The only condition issue to note is a couple of cracks in the cast coin door, and the coin door lock does not seem to fit the door well, although the lock is an old Yale lock. I have been collecting coin op for almost 50 years.
