EARLY WATLING SLOT-cast iron with wood sides-older restoration-CAST IRON VENDER

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY---i have tried to explain all details that make this machine a reel early and great addition to any collection--THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY to own a machine that no other collector owns or has ever seen. This is a very early WATLING slot machine--WITH a very early and rare shorty side vender.

I have been involved with slot machines for over 45 years--never have seen another side vender like this---looks like a years older restoration. THIS IS NOT JUST A MILLS MECHANISM RE-VAMP----look at PHOTO 4---it shows the 3 claws that pull the reels-----only a WATLING has this style--and the typical WATLING sound that the later machines are known for. It may be one of the earliest WATLING SLOT MACHINES.

This machine has an early FUTURE PAY MECHANISM----with the original paper ---later future pay wheels were made of embossed metal. The lower CAST IRON front casting has been borrowed from MILLS NOVELTY-----BUT-- the MILLS OWL has been removed from the red circle---PHOTO 6 SHOWS a MILLS casting with the owl---also--THE DATE on the bell has been changed. Last photo is the many tokens that come with this machine as well as one of the repro WATLING wrappers on the roll that can be vended. Another thing-----the vender works by pushing in the lever---not the typical pull of later years. LAST NOTE--- there seems to be an issue with the side vender on free play. THIS sale therefore will be considered AS IS---ortherwise this machine plays and pays right -and the FUTURE PAY WHEEL works as it should.
