BURTMIER PONY (TWO REEL) 5c SLOT MACHINE of 1934
It was manufactured in 1934 by the Burtmier Manufacturing Company. It is one of the few TWO REEL slot machines ever manufacturered. The slot machine displays very nicely and has a Burtmier decal on the left side of the cabinet. It comes with all three locks / keys (I do not know if any are original to the machine) one for the back door, another for the gum vendor actually it vended mints called Sweeties! , and the third key for the removal of the jackpot cover. The locks / keys work okay, you may have to jiggle them a little to get them to work but once you are familiar with the workings of the lock, it will go a lot smoother. You put in a nickel, push in the button by the coin acceptor slot, push down the handle, and the reels spin. All winning payoffs as shown by the award card are paid off by the machine. The reels spin well and stop nicely. The jackpot is a hand load with the upper jackpot window for show only. To load the jackpot, you remove the jackpot cover that also contains the fake upper jackpot and feed the coins into the slot opening to fill the working jackpot.

I have included 100 old Buffalo 5c for you to fill both the fake and working jackpots. It makes a nice display! The gum/mint vendor also works well.

I have included 10 small marbles for you to use in the vendor. After each play of the machine, put your hand under the spout at the bottom of the vendor and push up. One marble will come out.

The only thing missing is the cash box. Overall, this is a very nice looking and smooth playing 8 0 + year old slot machine!
