Obviously, its cabinet was repainted at some point but nicely done (the original paint on this model Mills flaked off as they aged). None of the castings have been damaged, no chips, cracks or repairs, front top, front bottom or top back casting. The wooden cabinet: the base, left and right sides, are in good shape and probably rebuilt/re-glued/refinished once upon a time. The chrome/nickel plating on the handle and award card frame is in great shape; the award card appears to be an older replacement, probably an original. The glass is all good, no cracks, breaks or chips. The back door is a non-original replacement with an original Mills lock and key and looks like an older Buckley door but may be an early reproduction, I'm not sure which. The cash box is an original Mills that someone welded a handle and a lid on. It works well and looks good.

Inside, the handle pump is fully functional and operates smoothly and properly; the escalator accepts coins properly and advances and releases well; the jackpot assembly is complete including both the main drop and reserve and functions properly. The escalator and jackpot align correctly with the mechanism; all are clean but would benefit with fresh lubrication. The mechanism plays and cycles properly and pays consistent with the amounts listed on the award card. The original reel strips are very nice and line up properly. All 3 brake wires are in place.

The mechanism doesn't show wear nor does it play like a worn mechanism.... it's crisp and smooth.

Note the bicycle sprocket reel stop stars, the proper reel assembly for this vintage Mills mechanism. Whether you're a beginning collector or have been around this hobby as long as I have, you will be satisfied with this vintage slot. Thanks for looking, Happy New Year, and God bless!
