1931 Mills SILENT WAR EAGLE Nickle Cabinet Slot Machine Mostly Functional

On the inside of the cabinet there is a pencil written inscription that says J. Sept 11/31 which I believe to be the signature and date of the assembler/ quality control officer at the factory. The machine is playable but it shorts one coin on every win and some of the larger payouts do no pay out. It appears that the bottom piece of the payout mechanism is jammed but I do not have a user/repair manual to know how to unjam it.

I added some rubber bumpers to the inside back of the case to prevent slipping of the entire mechanism and keep the payouts working, but a more permanent stopper should be added for smooth operation. It appears that the machine is original or of vintage repair, and would a great unit to restore or played as is at home. The machine will be pre-loaded with some nickels so it is ready to play and pay! Included is a link to see more details of the machine and an example of its operation.
