1907 Mills 5 Cent Check Boy

The 1907 Mills Check Boy is an interesting one wheel machine by Mills with a cylinder style payout that could either dispenses tokens or nickels. Even more impressive is the mechanism that pays in a fashion similar to that of a Gatling gun.

Installed with the six way gambling action seen in most uprights from a few years back, this Check Boy was not only sexy looking, it was compact and ahead of its time. Choosing ones color or several colors, depressing the arm and the thin wheel spins about. This machine was destroyed by federal authorities in the mid 1920's and put back together years later by a man in northern California, who was in charge of trashing the machines, but actually saved and restored them. Retains its original paper reel, tin cash box, and finish to the wooden cabinet with newer plating to the iron castings.
