1896/97 one of the first AUTOMATIC PAY-OUT gambling machine-made by D. N. Schall

In 1896 or 1897 an early gambling machine company, D. Built this ONE WHEEL AUTOMATIC PAY-OUT gambling machine and set the stage for all ONE WHEEL pay-outs until CHARLES FEY changed the world with his 3 reel invention THEN CALLED the slot machine. There was a ten year period(1897 to 1907) in which all coin-operated gambling slot machines had one wheel, either a table or floor model.

THIS MACHINE was one of the first. This is a wonderful machine, works and pays correctly, has an all original oak cabinet with original side door with original working lock with original key. The castings were antique nickel plated many years ago. Unlike some of these early counter one wheel machines with repaired or torn paper wheels.

LOOK at the photo of the wheel--a great condition survivor---the colors are true to original and not faded like many others. The catalog images are early original copies , one from the COIN SLOT booklet number 18 which is included.
